Left and right hand upstand / abutment stopends are now available to purchase through our online store for all aluminium coping ranges.
If the parapet wall on your new extension runs flush with your house on one or both sides then the vertical flashing of a full abutment stopend would stick out and would require site work to cut down. As the coping overhangs the wall by 30mm this would leave a visible gap when viewed from behind.
The new handed upstand stopend removes the need for site work and with the 30mm closure to the overhang there will be no visible gap when viewed from behind.
The left hand upstand stopend has the vertical flashing to the top and right hand sides with the 30mm closure to the left hand.
The right hand upstand stopend has the vertical flashing to the top and left hand sides with the 30mm closure to the right hand side.
