Introducing the Onyx range - SL Gutters and Downpipes from Yeoman Rainguard.
Aluminium Rainflow are working with Yeoman Rainguard to bring you their SL extruded aluminium gutters and downpipes. Available in a smooth black powder coated finish, we are able to offer a robust, long lasting and economical choice for new build, renovation, or developments in just 5-10 working days.
All orders for Onyx products come with a free of charge tin of black touch up paint allowing you to paint over any cut ends.
For larger, more complicated projects, a site visit from an experienced Yeoman Rainguard representative can be arranged.
Choose from two gutter profiles, a direct fix half round or a moulded ogee, and combine them with the 75mm round swaged downpipe.
The unique 125mm half round gutter profile has a flat back allowing you to directly fix the gutter to your fascia board without the need for expensive brackets. The clip fit internal unions allow a simple installation without nuts and bolts.
The 125x100mm moulded ogee profile, like the half round gutter, can also be directly fixed to your fascia board through the back of the gutter and has a clip fit union allowing a simple nut and bolt free installation.
The 75mm round swaged downpipe is compatible with both the Onyx SL gutter profiles so you can order safe in the knowledge that everything that gets delivered will connect together without any issue. Each item is wider at the top to accept the tail end of the pipe above.
Installation
Place gutter in position, fixing to fascia board at 500mm centres through oversize hole to allow for expansion and contraction using 32mm stainless steel screws and oversize washer.
Allow 2mm expansion gap between lengths and components. Ensure all joint areas are clean, dry, dust and grease free prior to applying silicone sealant.
Apply 2 generous beads of silicone sealant to each side of the joint.
Place joint clip in position pressing down firmly until it clips into position.
Using a cloth to protect the finish, press the joints into place using bent pliers.
Remove any surplus sealant from faces of gutter.
Aluminium guttering may be cut using a fine tooth hacksaw or power saw with aluminium blade.
Ensure any burr is removed with a file.
Ensure any cut ends are coated using touch up paint provided.
